Notice about covid-19

In support of the City's effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, we have determined that the best course of action would be for us to suspend all in-person fittings, effective Friday, March 13th.

We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, considering the current situation and the need to limit personal contact, we felt this was the best path to take in order to help keep you and the rest of the public safe during this time.

To date, we have already implemented certain health protocols in our offices and are closely monitoring for updates so we can make necessary changes with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and local public health agencies. In addition, we have increased the strength and frequency of cleaning and sanitization in our offices and we are encouraging our employees to prioritize safe practices of social distancing, frequent hand washing and staying home if they feel unwell.

With that being said, we would still love the opportunity to help you find the perfect fit and we are excited to announce that we will be launching our Remote Virtual Fitting Program in the coming weeks! Be on the lookout for more information regarding how you can schedule a virtual fitting and kindly reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding your appointment cancellation. All of our in-store services are still available.

With the recent COVID-19 outbreak and the mandatory Shelter in Place declared by city officials, we wanted to ensure that you are provided with the most up to date information regarding our company and services. We have outlined important information below, but you may also reach out to us at care@hemster.co if you have any questions or concerns that need to be addressed. when will my garments be ready?

If your order is being worked on OR if it is already complete, it will promptly be shipped to you when we resume normal operations. Tracking information will also be provided at that time. Please note that any any orders placed within 5 days of March 17, 2020 are subject to cancelation. If your order is no longer able to be fullfilled, we will notify you via email by March 24th, 2020, and you will be refunded for the cost of alterations. The order will then be shipped to your address on file once normal operations resume.

I received my garment, but adjustments need to be made. what are my next steps?

Per our Perfect Fit Guarantee Policy, we are more than happy to provide a label for you to ship your order back to us if any adjustments are needed. Simply send an email to care@hemster.co to request a redo within 5 days of receiving your order. Once we resume normal operations, and the alteration redo request has been approved, we will provide a shipping label for you to send your order back to us. We will then make the necessary adjustments and ship your order back to you as soon as possible.

I received tracking information for my order, but FedEx keeps having delays.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there has been an influx of delivery delays throughout the country and we are at the mercy of the Fedex when it comes to ETA for orders. If you need specific information pertaining to order delays please reach out to the FedEx Customer Service Line at 1-(800)-463-3339.

CASUAL :
Achieve every day confidence in your every day wardrobe including yoga pants, jeans, t-shirts, and more!
FORMAL :
Everything from a floor length gown, cocktail dress, or a little black dress for women and all suit types for men.
BRIDAL :
Bridal alterations are for brides and their wedding day gown. Special packages are available for the entire bridal party.

2A. Understanding our fitting fee per appointment type

Our fitting fee is a one time charge that pays for the cost of sending our professional Fit Designers to your home for first, second, and sometimes additional fittings. Please note that our fitting fee is separate from alteration costs procured during the appointment. Our fitting fee is waived if and when your alteration costs reach our minimum order value. Fitting fees will be charged with our alterations costs at the time of the appointment.

2B. Understanding our minimum order policy

If your alteration meets our minimum, your fitting fee is waived!

If you have a Fit Designer that you love, you have the option to select them again. If you are new to Hemster, simply select our Fit Designer option and we will pair you with one of our amazing stylists.

4. select your date and time

Please keep in mind there is a 9 business day turnaround time - business days are Monday through Friday for casual and formal alterations.

RUSH Turnaround is available with an additional rush fee - fee varies on how soon you need your garment.

We currently require 24 hour lead times for online bookings.
Please email care@hemster.co if you need an appointment within 24 hours and we will try to accommodate you the best we can.

5. Input your appointment information

For the best appointment experience, please let us know:

- how many garments you have to be altered
- how many people will be fitted
- where your appointment will be held
- any other useful information
(ex. Do you have pets? Is there a gate code? etc.)

6. input your credit card info

If your appointment has a fitting fee, we require that you provide your credit card information. In case of no-show or a late cancellation, we will charge the fitting fee. The same card can be used for fast checkout during the appointment.

7. understanding our cancellation policy

In order to ensure that we can accommodate all of our customers, we require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or re-schedule your appointment, otherwise the fitting fee is non-refundable.
Appointments canceled or reschedule with more than 24 hours notice will be accommodated free of charge.

what to bring to each appointment

If you are wearing your garment for a special event, make sure to bring the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear with your garment.

Fit Designers do not bring full length mirrors to appointments. If you do not have one available for the appointment, please email care@hemster.co for options.

Have all brand referral cards available so fitters can input codes during appointment for reference - fitters do not have referral codes on hand.

during your appointment

Overview

Your fitter will arrive at the designated time and location for the appointment.
When your fitter arrives you will be asked to put on items that will be altered.
Fitter will perform fitting using pins, clamps, or our own RulerStickers.
Fitter will create invoice and process orders in our own Fitter App.
Fitter will tag and bag each item.

After all items are fitted, Fit Designer will review invoice and once approved by your card will be ran -
exceptions will be made when there is a custom alteration.
You will receive an order confirmation once the order is placed.
Fit Designer will book second fitting or drop off appointment.
Fitter will leave with all items ready to be altered.

after your appointment

second fitting

During your second fitting a Fit Designer will deliver your items and you may try them on to ensure that you have achieved the perfect fit. Whether your items need an adjustment, you've changed your mind, or you want something more done we can help during your second fitting to add more alterations to avoid another fitting fee.

drop-offs

You may choose to have your garments dropped off at your home or office rather than meet for a second fitting.
