Time it Just Right

It is best to book your first alteration appointment approximately 3 months before the wedding. This is because if you book your appointment too early, your weight could change. Keep in mind that your number of fittings could depend on how much work needs to be done on your dress, but most brides require three or four fittings.

what to bring with you

We require that you provide the shoes and undergarments you intend to wear the day of the wedding to every fitting since these items can dramatically affect the alterations of the gown.

when will my bridal alterations be complete?

Most brides require 3-4 fittings before the dress is 100% complete. We have a turnaround time of 3 weeks between each fitting but can accommodate faster alterations with an additional RUSH fee.

what is a custom alteration?

Any alterations set forth that change the original construction of the gown are considered custom. Examples of custom alterations include: shortening the train, adding/removing beadwork or lace, adding/removing sleeves, adding gussets, etc.

what if my dress is the wrong size?

If you have purchased a sample size or a gown that is two or more sizes too big/small we will attempt to alter to your desired size, however, we cannot guarantee the perfect fit.

Please note the starting cost for re-sizing a gown is $900, and we do strongly advise against purchasing gowns over 3” too large in the bodice as we may not be able to accept you as a client if you fall into this alteration category.

how much will it cost?

Most of our bridal alterations fall between $400-$1200 depending on the extent of the work, fabric, dress complexity, etc. An invoice will be made in your initial fitting except when custom alterations are requested. You will be required to pay the invoice in its entirety during the first fitting.
